Turkish group Opus Land Development, the developer of the residential complex Cosmopolis, will open a strip mall within the project at the end of November. The investment amounts to EUR 2.2 million.
Cosmopolis Plaza will have the Carrefour supermarket as the main anchor, with a rentable area of 950 sqm.
The shopping center’s total area will amount to 4,100 sqm. It will also include an Inmedio shop, a VET Life petshop, an Ocean Fish store and a Domino's pizzeria.
“Cosmopolis Plaza hosts, besides the main anchors, smaller businesses, which were developed by our residents,” said Ahmet Buyukhanli, general director of Opus Land Development.
The Cosmopolis residential center, located in Stefanesti, in Northern Bucharest, covers some 80 hectares and has over 2,300 apartments and villas. The investments in this project amounted to about EUR 280 million. The budget was allocated for building the houses, developing the infrastructure, green areas and commercial spaces. The developer’s plans include the construction of at least 7,000 new homes.
