Dragobete: Cheaper train tickets and declarations of love in Bucharest’s main train station
Although Valentine’s Day has passed this year, the lovers in Romania will celebrate their love once again on Dragobete – the local lovers’ day, on February 24.
And, as the train station is a place full of emotions and stories, the Romanian railway company CFR also marks this year’s Dragobete with cheaper train tickets and declarations of love in Bucharest’s Gara de Nord train station.
Thus, on February 24, the train tickets will have a discount of 50%. However, the reduction will apply only if two tickets are being purchased for the same InterRegio train (IR), and the offer will only be available at the ticket offices located in CFR stations and agencies.
Moreover, on this special day, the lovers will have the chance to declare publicly their love at the megaphone in Gara de Nord, Bucharest’s main train station. The love messages can be posted on the event’s Facebook page until February 24, 18:00. More information about the event and its rules here.
