Drug maker Zentiva reports higher sales in Romania, but profit down in the first half
Pharmaceutical company Zentiva Romania registered a turnover of RON 200.1 million (EUR 44.8 million) in the first half of 2014, which represents a year-on-year increase of 24.4 percent. However, its net profit dropped 4 percent in this period, to RON 27.2 million (some EUR 6 million), reports local Wall-street.ro.
Zentiva expects sales to grow 8.4 percent this year, to RON 348 million (EUR 78.2 million), while the net profit should go up to RON 47.8 million (EUR 10.7 million), which represents an increase of 18.6 percent on last year.
Zentiva is controlled by French pharmaceutical group Sanofi.
