Drug maker Zentiva ups net profit by a third in Romania
Romanian drug maker Zentiva saw its net profit go up over 33 percent year-on-year in 2013, to almost RON 43 million (some EUR 9.7 million), according to the company’s preliminary financial results.
The company reported a turnover of RON 290.9 million (EUR 65.9 million) for 2013, up from RON 242.4 million (some EUR 54.4 million) recorded in the previous year.
Its total revenues also increased to RON 301.7 million (EUR 68.4 million) last year, while the costs went up to RON 248.8 million (EUR 56.4 million), from RON 221.8 million (EUR 49.8 million) in 2012.
Zentiva is controlled by French pharmaceutical group Sanofi, present in more than 100 countries.
