EBRD gives Belgian company EUR 8 mln to build factory in Romania
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will grant a EUR 8 million loan to the Belgian company Sonaca, which plans to build a new factory in Cluj, north-western Romania.
Sonaca, which is a local producer of aircraft components, will invest EUR 15.7 million in the new project, which should be carried out in two years. The costs include the price of the plot, the building of the factory, the equipment and the development of new products.
The new factory will increase the company’s capacity to supply the big aircraft producers with components for the airplanes’ wings, according to EBRD.
Sonaca set up a subsidiary in Romania this year, called Sonaca Aerospace Transilvania.
