Education could become mandatory at 3 starting 2018 in Romania
Education could become mandatory at the age for 3 in Romania starting the school year 2018-2019, according to Education Minister Remus Pricopie, quoted by Agerpres.
He said the next change in the Education Law could occur either through Parliament, or via an Emergency Ordinance, and could set the starting age at 5 years in 2015, and at 3 in 2018.
Education is mandatory in Romania starting 6 years old, when children enroll in the zero class. Pre-school is not yet mandatory.
