Employers in Romania have offered 47,500 jobs on the online recruitment platform eJobs in the first three months of this year, according to the platform’s representatives.

Most of the jobs offers were submitted by companies in retail, outsourcing, and automotive sectors. Most of the jobs openings were in Bucharest, with over 17,750 ads, followed by the west and north-west regions of the country, with almost 13,200 jobs offered via eJobs.

In the east of Romania, almost 8,000 job positions were open whereas companies in the center of the country tried to recruit over 5,400 people. The South-Muntenia region, one of the poorest in the country, had over 3,100 recruitment ads in the first quarter of the year.

The signals of increasing confidence among employers, which were seen last year, were confirmed in the first three months of the year, said eJobs sales director Bogdan Badea.
