Zone Arena, which has hosted several concerts this year in Bucharest, will be demolished, as the owners of the land plot didn't have any permits to build the stage and the tribunes on the land plot. The Sector 2 City hall has asked Arena Invest, the company which owns the property, to demolish the existing constructions on the site.

The Hard Rock Cafe is a global institution in the bar and restaurant world; loved by many, but not by all. The first was opened in London’s Mayfair in 1971 by two Americans, Peter Morton and Isaac Tigrett, and there are now 149 Cafes around the world in 53 countries. The one in Bucharest opened its doors three years ago in a great location by the lake in Herestrau Park.

Romanians flocked to the seaside last week-end, when the number of tourists in the local seaside resorts reached 80,000, according to official statistics. The number however includes only the tourists which checked into hotels, without taking into account those who have stayed at individuals who rent their places for the summer.

Kiseleff boulevard in Bucharest will become a car free area during week-end and will be dedicated to sports activities starting this week-end, until August 8. The project, called 'Via Sport', will feature basket, soccer, badminton and ping-pong areas, the Bucharest municipality has announced.
