Romanian entrepreneurs Dan Sevcenco and Alexandru Voicu, who are also golf aficionados, have invested EUR 150,000 in an indoor golf simulator in Bucharest.

The company called Golf Room owns three game simulators and a store where players can acquire golf equipment and specific clothing, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

“Personal experience played an important role in opening this business, as well as the lack of golf infrastructure in Bucharest,” said Dan Sevcenco, Golf Room co-founder.

He added he used to fly to London three or four times a week to play golf in a similar center.

The average ticket price of a game is RON 130 (EUR 30) per player. The game simulators can accommodate up to four players each. “A single player can play an 18-hole game in less than an hour, but four players will need 3-4 hours,” said Dan Sevcenco.

Romania has few golf courses, which is why many Romanian golfers prefer to go to the Bulgaria, to play golf at the resorts near Balchik.
