Ethnic festival and piano recitals in Bucharest park this weekend
Bucharest’s Herastrau Park hosts this weekend the first edition of ethnic festival Etnorama and piano concerts.
The Etnorama festival, which aims to celebrate cultural diversity, kicks off today, May 15. An exhibition of ethnic objects and crafts will stay open until 21:00, while two concerts are scheduled starting 18:45: Romanian Mihai Margineanu and Moldovan band Zdob si Zdub.
Saturday’s program includes exhibitions, children’s theater, dance shows and music concerts.
The festival continues Sunday with dance shows and exhibitions. Romanian artist Ovidiu Lipan Tandarica, together with 10 Prajini Fanfare & Stelu Enache will close the festival with a concert scheduled to start at 17:00.
The festival takes place at the park’s Charles de Gaulle entrance.
Romanian pianist Horia Mihail will also hold two recitals in Herastrau Park this weekend. The two piano recitals will take place on Saturday, 17:00 and Sunday, 16:00, in the park’s gazebo.
The two outdoor concerts are part of the artist’s The Traveler Piano tour. The program includes Rachmaninov, Liszt, Schumann, and Brahms.
The entry to both events is free.
