EU fund absorption rate inches up to 36% in Romania
The absorption rate of EU funds amounted to over 36 percent in Romania as of June 30, up by 0.67 percentage points from June 6, according to data posted on the Ministry of European Funds’ website, cited by local Agerpres.
The value of expenditure statements submitted to the European Commission is of EUR 6.92 billion at the end of June.
Romania received from the European Commission the total amount of EUR 8.90 billion, representing 46.33 percent of the 2007-2013 allocation. Of these funds, the interim reimbursed payments amount to EUR 6.79 billion, namely 35.36 percent of the allocation.
