The Romanian citizens of Rroma ethnicity which will be repatriated from France will be included in the society through common Romanian – French programs which will be funded with European money. The two countries will together obtain the funds needed to create these programs.

French state officials have been discussing about Romania's entry into the Schengen area, which could be affected by the way the country handles the Rroma problem. In response, the Romanian prime minister Emil Boc said this is a problem and a responsibility belonging to all European countries.
