An agency of Banca Transilvania situated in Timisoara was robbed Thursday night and EUR 16.000 was stolen from the bank’s safe, according to Mediafax newswire.

The burglary was discovered Friday morning by the bank’s employees, who alerted the Police. The burglars entered through the bathroom window, which they forced open, and deranged the office, according to the spokesman of the Timis County Police.

During the night, the bank’s alarm was set off, but the employees of the security firm that went to check out the place said they didn’t see anything suspicious in the area. The Police were alerted Friday morning, after the bank’s employees came to work.
