European official Johannes Hahn's visit to Romania canceled by heavy snow
The visit by European Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn, scheduled for today ( January 26 ), was canceled because of the heavy snow in Bucharest over the past two days. The snow caused disruption of air traffic that prevented the European official's trip from Brussels to Bucharest.
Johannes Hahn was scheduled to meet with President Traian Basescu, Prime Minister Emil Boc and European Affairs Minister Leonard Orban.
The visit agenda also included participation with the Inter-ministerial Committee concerning European funds absorption and a meeting with Prime Minister Emil Boc to assist in the signing of the memorandum between Romania and the World Bank for financial support in the absorption of structural and cohesion funds by Romania.
