Famous jazz guitarist Al Di Meola, back to Bucharest for April concert

Worldwide acclaimed jazz guitarist Al Di Meola will return to Bucharest to perform along with his band New World Sinfonia. The concert was set for April 21, at the Palace Hall in the Romanian capital city. Tickets for the concert will cost RON 70.4, RON 102.4, RON 134,4 and RON 174.4 until February 25 and can be bought online here or in Germanos, Vodafone, Orange store, Humanitas and Carturesti bookshops. Full price tickets will cost RON 88, RON 128, RON 168 and RON 218 after this date.

Di Meola will share the stage with Fausto Beccalossi (accordion), Peo Afonsi (acoustic guitar), Peter Kaszas (percussion), Gumbi Ortiz (percussion) and Victor Miranda (bass), all members of the New World Sinfonia band.

Al Di Meola, by his real name Al Laurence Dimeola, was born New Jersey, in a family with Nepalese and Italian origins. He launched his first album in 1976, "Midnight Sun", when critics discovered him due to the complexity of his interpretation.

Di Meola has collaborated with artists such as Chick Corea, Luciano Pavarotti, Paco de Lucia, Phil Collins, Santana, John McLaughlin, Jimmy Page, Stevie Wonder and Jean Luc Ponty. He ranks first in the top of the best jazz guitarists of all times published by Guitar Player Magazine.
