Logistics services company FedEx Trade Networks, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp, has recently opened a local office in Bucharest, part of an operations expansion which also included Chengdu in China and Munich in Germany, the company has announced. Full release here.

The company's office in Bucharest is located in the North of the city, close to the Henri Coanda (Otopeni) airport. FedEx Express has been present in Romania thought its partner International Romexpress (IRS).

“With an increase in freight transport in Romania in the following two years, the freight forwarding and the logistics industry play an important role in the country's economy, with 10 percent of the GDP,” according to the company.

FedEx Trade Networks in Romania is led by Florina Paraschivescu, who used to work for UPS in Romania for the last ten years, after working for DHL for almost three years. She has been leading FedEx Trade Networks since January this year. Check out her CV on LinkedIn.
