Fewer companies become insolvent in Romania in the first four months

Over 8,880 companies entered insolvency in the first four months in Romania, down 14.3 percent year-on-year, according to data from the Romanian Trade Registry’s Office.

Most insolvencies were recorded in Bucharest - 1,566, Bihor county - 565 and Prahova county - 455.

On the other hand, the smallest number of insolvencies was recorded in Calarasi, Neamt, Salaj and Giurgiu counties, which also have less companies registered.

More than 38,100 registrations of individuals and companies were recorded at the Trade Registry in the first four months of the year, down some 10 percent compared to the same period in 2013 when the number of registrations was of over 42,700.
