Fire stops production at Lukoil refinery in Romania
A fire started on Friday morning (February 1 ) at the Lukoil refinery in Ploiesti, Romania. A team of 40 fire fighters arrived at the scene but the fire was still on at 8:30 this morning. The production process at the refinery stopped. So far authorities have not found the cause of the fire, but they said there is not danger for an explosion.
It took the firefighters two hours to put out the fire but no casualties were recorded. Early information shows the fire was caused by the auto combustion of the substances in the mix at an installation.
