Fiscal control over Romanian individuals' revenues, only with 15-day prior notice

15 April 2014

Romanian Fiscal Police officers from the Tax Administration ANAF will be able to check the revenues of individuals only with a 15-day prior notice, according to a recent set of rules published in the Official Gazette, and quoted by Digi24. The recently published document is called "Rights and obligations of individuals under fiscal control.”

The control can last for up to maximum a year. During this period, Romanian individuals would have to submit all needed documents to the fiscal officers from ANAF. These officers will be allowed to speak to notaries, lawyers, doctors and psychotherapists the controlled individual may have worked with, in order to get a clear picture of the person's affairs.

However, in order to expand the investigation to these people, the ANAF officers will need the agreement of the investigated individual.
