Five companies renew leases, some expand HQ in Bucharest's West Gate office compound
Five companies which occupy 20 percent of the West Gate office compound in the western part of Bucharest recently renewed their leases by five to ten years, and some of them chose to expand within the same compound. Siemens, Panasonic, Accenture, WNS and PPD România, all existing tenants in West Gate, will continue to have their headquarters in the compound, where their occupy some 15,000 sqm.
WNS decided to add an extra 2,500 sqm to its existing space in the compound. Other companies decided to take up more space in the last year: Dacia Renault, Ericsson and Carestream Health expanded their headquarters by some 5,500 sqm in total.
West Gate, developed and owned by Genesis Development, has five office buildings with a leasable area of 75,000 sqm. The first four buildings received the BREEAM Very Good green building certification, and the fifth building, finalized at the end of 2013, is expected to get the same certification after a year of activity.
West Gate is currently 92 percent occupied, tenants include Siemens, Ericsson, WNS, PPD România, Panasonic, Dacia Renault, Citibank, Alpha Bank, Société Générale and Carestream Health.
