The West University of Timisoara (Universitate de Vest - UVT) was included in several international rankings in the last year, according to a statement from the institution.

The Romanian university was included in QS World University Rankings, University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), Ranking Web of Universities, 4 International Colleges & Universities 2015 (4 ICU) and U-Multirank.

Four other universities in Romania, which are UVT’s partners in the Universitaria Consortium, were included in these rankings. The four institutions are Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi, Babeș Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, University of Bucharest and the Academy of Economic Studies ASE in Bucharest.

When evaluating universities, all these rankings take into account factors such as: scientific research and its results, quality of education, the presence in the community and employers’ image over the graduates, according to the UVT statement.
