Floods cause EUR 4 billion damages in Romania in 12 years
The value of the damages Romania has recorded due to floods in the last 12 years amounts to some EUR 4 billion, namely 2.7% of the annual GDP, according to Iulian Jugan, State Secretary in the Water & Environment Ministry.
He also said that the Government was analyzing the topic of the micro power plants, reports local Agerpres.
“We are aware that the green energy represents an alternative for the national energy system, but producing this energy needs to be carried out by using environment-friendly solutions,” he added.
