Foreign currency reserves up by EUR 0.5 billion in June
Romania’s foreign currency reserves were up by EUR 555 million, to EUR 31.2 billion in June, according to the Romanian Central Bank BNR.
The international reserves, including gold, totaled EUR 34.4 billion. During June, EUR 1.3 billion entered the coffers, representing the change in minimum reserves for lenders, as well as European Commission and Public Finance Ministry money.
Outgoing funds totaled EUR 817 million, after the change in minimum reserves, interest rates for the public debt, among others. The gold reserves stood at 103.7 tonnes, whose value is of EUR 3.2 billion.
