Foreign direct investments down at EUR 1.3 bln in Romania
Foreign direct investments totalled EUR 1.3 billion in the first seven months of the year, down 13.8% compared to the same period the previous year, according to data from the central bank BNR. Of the total amount, equity stakes (including reinvested earnings) amounted to some EUR 1.3 billion and intragroup loans posted net payments of EUR 76 million.
Last year, foreign direct investments went up by a quarter, to some EUR 2.7 billion, a peak in the last four years.
