Foreign direct investments in Romania down to EUR 1.19 bln in H1
Foreign direct investments totaled EUR 1.19 billion in the first half of 2014 in Romania, down 10.3 percent year-on-year according to data from the Central Bank BNR.
The medium and long term external debt stood at EUR 75.3 billion at the end of June, down 2.1 percent from end-2013. The short term external debt went down 7.9 percent from end of last year, to EUR 17.6 billion.
Last year, foreign direct investments went up by a quarter, to some EUR 2.7 billion, a peak in the last four years.
