Foreign Investors Council: Romania could attract EUR 5 bln in renewable energy projects

Romania could attract EUR 5 billion worth of investments in renewable energies in the following years, according to a forecast by the Foreign Investors Council in the country (FIC). The Council will organize a roundtable on renewable energies on Wednesday, March 23, where it will also present its standpoint on how to unblock investments in renewable energies.

The Foreign Investors Council represents 125 large companies, with investments totaling over EUR 36 billion in Romania. The wind energy segment has taken off in Romania in recent years, with several wind farms already finalized and others underway in the south-eastern region of Dobrogea.
