Foreigners dominate Red Bull Romaniacs enduro moto competition, Brit wins his third title

A British contestant won the recent hard enduro rally that rook place in the Sibiu area, central Romania. Graham Jarvis (in picture) won the Red Bull Romaniacs rally, outranking German Andreas Lettenbichler and British Jonny Walker. The whole competition was dominated by foreigners.

This is Jarvis' third trophy at the event, which brings him at par with French Cyril Despres, who also won the competition three times. Graham Jarvis said he wanted to return for a fourth run next year.

The first Romanian in the ranking was Erwin Kovacs, who ranked 7th. Paul Fratila was 13th and Emanuel Gyenes was 17th.

Dutchman Jurgen van den Goorbergh took first spot at single expert class, while the Czech team Zdenek Cyprian/Martin Volny ranked first in the expert team category. The hobby competition ended with a Czech podium: Radek Holcak/Martin Urban, Oldrich Brazina/Jaromir Lach and Ales Vondrak/Ondrej Rathousky, while Romanian team Romeo and Cristian Dunca ended fourth.

Red Bull Romaniacs was started by Martin Freinademetz, the former multiple World & European snowboard Champ, who has been exploring the Carpathians Mountain areas on his own enduro bike for many years, before starting the competition in 2004.

This year's competition took place between June 14 and June 17. This year, 29 riders signed up for the pro riders leg, while 95 for hobby singles, 32 teams for the hobby competition, 22 for expert teams, and 31 for the exports single race competition.
