Former Rompetrol group invests USD 6 mln in fuel delivery systems
KMG International (the former Rompetrol group), which owns the biggest oil refinery in Romania and the second-biggest fuel distribution network on the local market, has completed the modernization and automation of the systems for loading and unloading fuel at its six local warehouses.
This was part of a USD 6 million investment project, which also includes the modernization of the terminals at the Petromidia Navodari refinery until 2018.
Implementing this project in the group’s warehouses in Romania will decrease by 30% the time required for loading and unloading fuel.
At the end of 2015, KMG International managed to complete the implementation of a pilot project in the Mogosoaia fuel deposit operated by Rompetrol Downstream, the retail division of KMG International in Romania. The project enables a significant reduction of technological losses. In the next stage, the group will modernize and automatize the terminals operated in the Midia port.
The Rompetrol fuel distribution network in Romania has 700 filling stations.
