Forte Partners buys land plot for Bucharest office project expansion

Local group Forte Partners acquired a land plot of 5,400 sqm in the Orhideea area in Bucharest, where it plans to build the third building of The Bridge office project.

The transaction is estimated at EUR 2.7 million, according to local Ziarul Financiar.

The Bridge currently comprises two office buildings, one with a leasable area of 30,000 sqm, which was delivered at the end of 2017 and one with an area of 21,000 sqm, which will be finalized in the first quarter of 2019.

At present, the largest tenant of The Bridge is local lender BCR, with 18,000 sqm, followed by IT group IBM with 12,000 sqm, UPC with 6,000 sqm, Medicover with 4,500 sqm and Schlumberger with 4,000 sqm.

Media reports said Romanian entrepreneurs Dragos and Adrian Paval, who own the biggest do-it-yourself retailer in Romania – Dedeman, consider purchasing the first two buildings of The Bridge. The project has an estimated value of some EUR 150 million.
