Four NATO military ships dock in Romania’s Constanta port over weekend

Four NATO military ships from the Standing NATO Mines Counter Measures Two – SNMCMG-2 will make a stopover in Romania’s Constanta port between July 17 and July 21, according to a statement of the Romanian Naval Forces.

“The mission of SNMCMG-2 in the Black Sea is to increase maritime security in the area. The ships also visited the port of Burgas in Bulgaria, conducting jointly military exercises with Romanian and Bulgarian sailors, under the BREEZE 2014 exercise,” reads the statement.

The ship will dock in the port of Constanta today, July 17. The schedule for Friday, July 18, includes joint training activities of Romanian and foreign military in the port, receiving an official delegation and a press conference.

On Monday, July 21, the four ships will leave the port to conduct exercises on the sea, together with Romanian ships.
