Franz Rattenstetter returns to Romania as GM of five-star hotel Crowne Plaza
Franz Rattenstetter (in picture) returns to the helm of the five-star hotel Crown Plaza in Bucharest, after having headed the unit between 2001 and 2007. Rattenstetter is the new GM of the hotel in the portfolio of Ana Hotels, a company owned by Romanian businessman George Copos, replacing Pierre Boissel. The 164-roomed hotel posted a turnover of EUR 5.4 million last year.
Franz Rattenstetter started as a sales and marketing manager in 1989 for the InterContinental hotel in Frankuft and went on to occupy various positions in hotels in the Middle East. He has worked for nine years as resident manager in Intercontinental Amman and Al Bustan Palace Intercontinental Hotel in Muscat. He has also led Mövenpick Resort Petra in Jordania, as well as hotels in UK, Italy, Germany and Switzerland.
