French bakery Paul opens new EUR 0.5 mln downtown unit in Bucharest

French Bakery chain Paul recently opened its fourth unit in Romania, in the Universitate area of Bucharest. The new shop required a EUR 500,000 investment and it covers 140 sqm. The company hopes to achieve a turnover of EUR 600,000 in the first year of activity from this new store.

The bakery chain entered the Romanian market in 2008. It has already opened three units in Bucharest, in Piata Dorobanti, AFI Palace Cotroceni, and Baneasa Shopping City.

Moulin D’Or manages Paul bakeries in Romania and posted a EUR 2.75 million turnover last year. Around 40 percent of its revenues came from the Dorobanti branch, which was also the first to be opened on the Romanian market.
