French car parts producer Faurecia opens new plant in Romania, hires 600

French car parts producer Faurecia will open a new factory for automotive upholstery in Ramnicu Valcea, Romania, following a EUR 12 million investment.

The company plans to hire 600 people until March next year. It wants to recruit operators, technicians, specialists, coordinators, and team managers.

It has already employed 700 people and plans to reach a total number of 1,600 employees in the plant.

The construction of this factory has already begun, according to the company. It will cover 12,000 sqm and will be completed in February 2016.

Faurecia also has factories in Pitesti, Craiova, and Talmaciu in Sibiu county. The group’s local factories had EUR 62 million in sales last year.
