French car parts producer invests EUR 8 mln in new factory in Romania
French car parts producer Faurecia will invest EUR 8 million in its largest production unit in Romania, located in Ramnicu Valcea, where it will hire 1,600 employees.
The construction of this factory has already begun, according to the company. It will cover 12,000 sqm and will be completed in February 2016.
The hall will host an integrated production unit with over 1,600 employees, which will be the group’s largest, according to Faurecia representatives.
The company produces car parts for Ford, Renault-Nissan, Peugeot, BMW, Daimler, General Motors, Toyota, and Hyundai. Faurecia also has factories in Pitesti, Craiova, and Talmaciu in Sibiu county. It produces car seats and other systems.
The group’s local factories had EUR 62 million in sales last year.
