French media: Romanian carmaker Dacia to launch minivan, city car models this year

Romanian carmaker Dacia, owned by French group Renault, will launch two family car models this year, a minivan that will cost EUR 14,800, which could be called Popster, and a city car derived from a light commercial vehicle, according to L'Automobile Magazine.

The minivan is a conventional model, EUR 6,000 cheaper than the entry version of the Renault Scénic, said L'Automobile Magazine. The standard version of the city car will cost EUR 13,000. The model will cost EUR 14,500 if equipped with a 85 HP diesel engine. The car will be EUR 3,750 cheaper than Kangoo dCi 90 Authentique.

According to L'Automobile Magazine, the two car models have already been presented to prospective buyers. Carmaker Renault said recently it will launch two models under the Romanian Dacia brand in Europe in 2012.
