FrieslandCampina launches EUR 3 mln yellow cheese production line in Romania
Dutch group FrieslandCampina, which took over and operates the Napolact brand in Romania, announced that it invested EUR 3 million in a new production line for yellow cheese.
The project is part of the plan to expand the factory within the Center of Excellence for cheeses developed by FrieslandCampina in Romania.
In addition to cheese, the company produces in Cluj three types of Balkan cheese, bellows cheese (traditional Romanian a fermented cheese), processed cheese, butter and milk.
The production capacity of the centre of excellence in cheeses in Cluj is 8,000 tonnes of cheese and butter per year and up to 35,000 tonnes of milk in cardboard packaging.
