From fire juggling to architecture, music, dance and fun at Street Delivery festival in 3 Romanian cities this weekend

12 June 2013

Bucharest's Arthur Verona street will again host the Street Delivery festival over the weekend. Between June 14 and June 16, the street will be taken over by an exuberant mix of art, music, theater, dance and film, along with plenty of workshops and activities allowing the public to get directly involved.

Events get underway at around 10:00 each morning and continue through until late at night and as well as the performances and workshops, this year's event features presentation on architecture and ecological protection by organizations such as Asociatia Salvati Bucurestiul (The Save Bucharest Association).

Juggler.ro will be juggling and fire juggling and dance troupe Tangotangent will bring a little touch of San Telmo to Arthur Verona street with their Tango is Funtastik show. Music-wise, there's no shortage of options, with bands on stage from midday each day. Saturday night's headliners, Stand High Patrol, from France will also be playing at the after-party in Club Modern when they've finished the set on the Arthur Verona street stage.

The Street Delivery festival is also running in Timisoara and, for the first time, in Iasi over the weekend, with the same mix of performing arts and hands on fun for the public promised. Somewhere between 20,000 and 30,000 people have attended the event in Bucharest in previous years and, clearly, Arthur Verona street will be closed to all traffic except pedestrians and cyclists for the duration of the festival.
