This year's warm autumn has triggered outdoor events organizers throwing in more competitions to keep participants fit until the arrival of winter sports. Two more events will take place at the beginning of October.

Piatra Craiului Marathon will take place on Saturday, October 2. This will be the fifth edition of the running competition in the Piatra Craiului mountain area . If you enjoy mountain running, you have the chance to run 41 km on a track with an altitude difference of 2,150 m. The start and finish points are in the city of Zarnesti, Brasov county.

The participation fee is of RON 75 for a simple package, which includes only participation to the competition, until September 30. After this date, the simple package will cost RON 100. You can also choose to book a Package B or C with the accommodation included. Participants are also required to have a medical certificate attesting that they are physically fit for endurance and a valid accidents insurance which covers the participation in the race. An accident insurance can also be taken on the spot.

After this marathon you can drive for about 75 km to Valea Crisului, in Covasna county, situated 10 km away from Sf. Gheorghe to Baile Tusnad. The AlpinSport Mountain Bike Marathon will take place there on Sunday, October 3, at 10:00 hours, on Str. Principala 292. This is the second edition of the event.

There is a hobby section on 31 km and a marathon track on 51 km. This outdoor event will have both marked and unmarked paths with a medium technical level.  Due to a varied landscape, for several sections of the trail, downhill and uphill knowledge is required.

The participation fee is RON 50 if paid online until September 29 and RON 80 on the spot, before the start. All categories of nature and sport lovers are welcomed to participate.
