Garanti Bank: Construction to trigger 2.5% economy boost in Romania
Lender Garanti Bank expects a 2.5% increase in Romania’s GDP in 2015, due to the recovery in the construction sector.
Constructions will give a boost both to the private and the public sector, recording an increase of 3.6% in 2015.
The inflation rate will drop to 0.5% this year, from 0.4% at the end of 2014, according to Garanti Bank. The decrease will be due to the VAT cut on food from 24% to 9%.
Garanti Bank expects deflation between June and October.
