GDP growth estimates revised up to 2.6% in Romania
The National Prognosis Commission has revised the estimates on GDP growth for 2014 from 2.5% as forecasted in May 2014 to 2.6%, while the forecast for GDP growth in 2015 went down to 2.5% from 2.6%. This year’s GDP will amount to EUR 151 billion, and in 2015 to EUR 159 billion.
For 2016 and 2017, the National Prognosis Commission maintains the May 2014 estimates which provided for an increase of 3%, respectively 3.3%. The Commission also estimates that final consumption this year will increase by 3.6% and in 2015 by 2.4%.
