German group Braas Monier, which owns the Sibiu-based roof tile producer Bramac Sibiu, has completed the acquisition of a tile factory owned by Craiova-based Elpreco.

This transaction should bring Braas Monier additional revenues of almost EUR 5 million every year. The group paid RON 33 million (almost EUR 7 million) for the Elpreco roof tile plant.

The Craiova plant will generate revenues of about EUR 4.9 million in 2019 and an operating profit of EUR 1.6 million, according to estimates of Braas Monier. The Bramac factory the group has In Sibiu had a turnover of EUR 11.5 million and a net profit of EUR 1.47 million in 2015, according to data from the Finance Ministry.

Elpreco Craiova is one of the biggest manufacturers of building materials in Romania. The company produces autoclaved concrete, pavements, and concrete structure elements. Its sales totaled EUR 24.6 million in 2015.

Elpreco is part of Irish group CRH, which also owns the former Lafarge cement factories in Romania.
