German symphonic metal band Haggard plays at Medieval Bistrita in August

A medieval festival will take place in Bistrita city in August, with rock band Haggard playing during the event. The 'Medieval Camp' will take place between August 13 -15 in the Haidenfield recreation area. Other concerts will also be featured: local band Trooper on August 13 and VAN ban, from Hungary, on August 15.

The event is organized by the Medieval Bistrita Cultural Association, in partnership with the Bistita municipality and the Romanian – Irish Cultural Association. Tickets will be on sale in the Eventim, TicketPoint and Biletoo networks – Germanos, Vodafone, Diverta, Humanitas and Carturesti stores, as well as online. Tickets for the entire event period will cost RON 60 until August 13 and RON 70 if bought at the event location. Tickets for August 13 and August 15 will cost RON 10 each, while for August 14 (the day of the Haggard concert), the price of a day ticket will be the same as for the entire event period.

The location also features areas available for camping.

Hot to reach the Haidenfield recreation area: by car, from DN17, from Reghin-Tg. Mures-Sighisoara, Beclean-Dej-Cluj Napoca, or Satu Mare, Vatra Dornei-Suceava. The Viisoara train station is nearby. If you will have accomodation in the city, a free bus ride will be available during the event.

Haggard is a German symphonic metal band founded in 1991. Its most recent album is Tales of Ithiria, from 2008. It is formed of 18 members, out of which three sopranos and one tenor. The other members of the band are plaing various instruments, such as flue, oboe, viola, cello. The leading vocal is Asis Nasseri.
