GfK: Romanian consumers don’t feel the economic growth
Romania’s economy has been growing in the last 18 months, but without any impact on the consumers, according to a recent study by GfK.
Romanians’ desire to purchase is at the same level as it was in March this year, but higher than in June 2013. Expectations for the local economy are at the same level as 18 months ago, but higher than in March this year.
Romanians have better expectations for their revenue increase, compared to a year ago, and to March this year. The consumption index in the EU was up in the second quarter, to its highest value since April 2008. Various indicators show an upward trend in different EU countries, suggesting an optimistic view.
