Romania’s team received a gold and three silver medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Hanoi in Vietnam, which took place between July 20 and 29.

The gold went to Maria Andreea Filip, 12th grader at the International Informatics High School in Bucharest, while the silver medals went to Dumitru Calugaru, Vlad Mihai Mandric, Bogdan Stefan Ivan, from Targu Jiu and Bucharest.

The Olympiad gathered 291 competitors from 77 countries, and Romania’s results was among the best team results, according to the Education Ministry.
