Portuguese Greenvolt pays Samsung EUR 83 mln for 45MWp PV park in Romania
The Portuguese company Greenvolt - Energias Renováveis will acquire from the South Korean group Samsung a 45MWp photovoltaic park developed in the southern part of Romania in 2012, according to Profit.ro.
The takeover will be operated through Greenvolt’s local subsidiaries V-Ridium Solar 45 and V-Ridium Renewables. The PV park is currently owned by Solluce Romania 1 BV, controlled by Samsung, LJG Green Source Energy Beta and LSG Building Solution.
The PV park in Romania is the largest project of this type that Samsung owns outside of North America. Greenvolt entered the Romanian market in 2021 when it stated that it targets 170 MW projects locally.
