As many as 700 Volksbank clients have started legal procedures against the bank on the allegedly illegal contract clauses added by the bank after the issuance of the Government Ordinance 50. The bank clients are represented by Piperea & Asociatii law firm, the firm has announced.

The firm has submitted the invitation to the reconciliation procedure on October 6 and will call the bank to court if the reconciliation doesn't work out in 15 days.  This is the second group of unhappy bank customers going to court against their banks, after 400 BCR clients have recently done something similar.
