GSK names first Romanian CEO at local subsidiary

Romanian Dana Constantinescu took over as CEO of British pharmaceutical group GSK’s local subsidiary on April 1, replacing Andre Vivan da Silva. She is the first Romanian CEO of GSK Romania.

Dana Constantinescu has been working with GSK for almost 20 years. In the last year, she has been coordinating the Corporate Affairs, Market Access, Public Health and PR activities within GSK Romania as well as the vaccine team.

The company has a strategy of promoting internal talent to management positions. So far, 32 Romanians from GSK Romania have been promoted to regional or group positions within GSK Global.

Dana Constantinescu graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila in Bucharest and joined the GSK Romania team in 1999.
