GTS Telecom invests EUR 0.6 mln in expanding Romanian data center and cloud infrastructure
GTS Telecom, one of the main infrastructure-based provider of telecommunications services in Romania, announced total investments of EUR 600,000 in expanding its data center in Bucharest and a cloud platform.
GTS Telecom decided to expand its data center space by 25 percent and to install a new dedicated cloud platform in Bucharest, following the increasing number of demands for collocation and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) solution, according to the company.
GTS Telecom is part of GTS Central Europe, the company acquired by Deutsche Telekom in November this year. The transaction is currently awaiting regulatory approval and both companies will operate independently until the transaction is finalized.
The company has approximately 130 employees and is based in Bucharest. In 2012, GTS Telecom posted revenues of EUR 20 million and an operational profit of EUR 5 million.
