Telecom provider GTS Telecom posted stable revenues in Romania last year, at EUR 23.5 million - around 6 percent of the firm's total revenues in the region- despite “an unfavorable economic environment against Romania and the CEE region,” according to the company. Its earnings before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were of EUR 4.6 million last year.

“Our focus on customer support, investments in expanding and optimizing our network and the expansion of our service offerings formed the basis for our solid financial results,” said Michael Rees (in picture), who was appointed Managing Director of GTS Telecom in November, 2011.

After launching Virtual Servers in 2011, GTS will continue to expand its datacenter managed service offerings, launch new voice packages and leverage new access technologies such as Ethernet.

Parent company GTS posted revenues of EUR 396 million last year, with a profit of EUR 99 million before taxes.
