The Chinese province Guangdong, which is known for having the highest number of Chinese billionaires, opened a tourist representation office in Bucharest yesterday.

“Romanian tourism, like other economic sectors, needs Chinese investments,” said Aurelian Gogulescu, deputy president of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He added that Guangdong is extremely rich, and is the province with the largest number of billionaires in China.

Officials and investors from the Guangdong province took part at the Economic Forum organized in Bucharest.

“Romania is a destination wanted by the people in Guangdong. Last year, 6,100 Romanians visited the Guangdong province, and 1,500 inhabitants of the province went to Romania,” said Zhao Yufang, senior advisor of the Guangdong Province Government, reports local Agerpres.
